Kids Ride Shotgun

Kids Ride Shotgun's journey begins in the summer of 2017, when mountain biking with kids split the family for co-founder Dan Necklen.
Dan knew that a rear-mounted seat wouldn't work on his full-suspension mountain bike. So he started looking around for front-mounted child seats without finding a satisfactory product.
That's when co-founder, product designer and father Tom Hayward came into the picture. The goal was clear: to develop a child bike seat for parents who own high-quality, full-suspension bikes and want to take their children cycling.
A few months later, the first version of the Shotgun seat was born and a pre-order campaign helped launch the brand in New Zealand. The following year, the Shotgun grab handle accessory was launched. The company evolved into a brand with a vision to empower the next generation of mountain bikers.
