Stadtlandkind is a climate neutral company with a climate neutral website!
Green Commerce Strategy 2020
With various measures to reduce emissions and protect the climate, the Stadtlandkind team has ambitious plans for 2020. Since 1 January 2020, all parcels to and from customers have been transported by Swiss Post in a climate-neutral way. Climate neutrality has also been achieved for the entire company and its website as of 10 March 2020. A major milestone and an important sign for our future!
"Climate neutral" label for company and website
With climate neutrality we support the climate protection project Marine Protection, Plastic Bank, Worldwide. We also support the achievement of global sustainability goals (Sustainable Development Goals), such as fighting poverty or improving living conditions in emerging and developing countries.
By balancing our corporate emissions, we are committing ourselves to climate protection and underlining our commitment to sustainability. The "climate neutral" label and our certificate with ID number guarantee transparency: You can track the offsetting of CO2 emissions via the ID and receive information on the climate protection project: www.climatepartner.com/14237-2002-1001.
This TÜV-Austria certified process of ClimatePartner stands for security and credibility in climate protection.
When is a company and website "climate neutral"?
A company is climate-neutral if all emissions of our directly provided business activities are accounted for and balanced by recognized climate protection projects.
ClimatePartner has worked with us to record and evaluate the relevant CO2 emission sources of our business. The analysis and annual update of our balance sheet enables us to implement and monitor measures to further avoid and reduce CO2.
The entire process is traceable through the label "climate neutral" and our certificate.
A website, in turn, is climate-neutral if the CO2 emissions caused globally by the use of the Internet, primarily due to the power consumption of servers, data transmission and the end devices of the users, have been accounted for and compensated. Based on the data of the monthly page impressions, ClimatePartner has determined the CO2 emissions caused by our website and again balanced them via a climate protection project.
What are the criteria for climate protection projects?
All climate protection projects must meet four basic criteria in addition to emission savings: Additionality, exclusion of double calculations, durability and verification by independent third parties.
To prove compliance with the criteria, the projects are certified and audited according to strict criteria, such as the Gold Standard or the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS). This ensures that the climate protection effect of the projects is guaranteed and regularly confirmed. The ClimateMap offers a selection of climate protection projects from the ClimatePartner portfolio.
