Mother language: Everyone has his package ... to fill ‑ the best tips for the Advent calendar

It was just summer, wasn't it? Where did they go, June, July, August and September? They trickled through my fingers like sand on the beach. But now it is autumn. It's still dark in the morning when I get up, in the evening shortly after work it gets dark again. In between, the leaves turn colourful, the people are finally wearing decent shoes again (you just don't want to see so many feet) and I'm already looking forward to burning my tongue on the first chestnut. My daughter and her friend have been rehearsing their "Sweet or sour" slogan for weeks and regularly drive their little fingers up and down the doorbell rails of our neighbouring houses. And for this year I have decided not to work night shifts again at the end of November in order to quickly put together the Advent calendar for my daughter. Because it is clear that she will get one. I love seeing her look forward to Christmas, how my little morning grouch is smiling and running to the calendar. I make sure to pack up little specials that my daughter can really use and nothing that gets thrown out again shortly afterwards. I especially like the things we can spend time with together. Recently I spoke with Hedvig Montgomery, a friendly and knowledgeable family therapist. Her "Hedvig formula" is a bestseller and should make us families happier. The Norwegian told me that the biggest gift you can give a child is to listen to it. With this in mind: Put a good portion of time into the Advent calendar and maybe one or two of these beautiful things.
