AILOS REISE: It was three years ago when Guillaume Maidatchevsky's four- and six-year-old daughters asked why he hadn't made a film about Santa's reindeer. And they also wanted to know how the reindeer actually fly... So the basic idea was born for "Ailos Journey"! Over a period of two years the director followed one of the last reindeer herds of Lapland to capture spectacular pictures. The result is a story that could not be told more beautifully. From the birth of Ailos in the wild and majestic nature until he grows up and is left to his own devices, every day is a great adventure for the little one on his journey. He meets arctic foxes, lemmings, eagles, wolves, squirrels and ermines - never sure whether they are enemies or friends. But Ailo makes it through bravely! Ailo's journey is a heartwarming story for the whole family. Comedy star Anke Engelke leads the viewer through the story with a little mischief.
