Winter wonderland Melchsee‑Frutt

Experience winter together - unforgettable family moments at the frutt Family Lodge.

This year we spent one of our most beautiful winter weekends in Melchsee-Frutt. Of course the weather was perfect, so we arrived at the frutt Family Lodge with a good measure of excitement. Arriving on Friday evening has a very special advantage: Pizza fun at frutt Lago! Mmmmh.

Saturday morning greeted us with a cloudless, steel blue sky and we quickly agreed: the perfect day to explore the ski slopes. The beauty of the Melchsee-Frutt ski area is that it has a lot to offer. 32 km of blue, red and black pistes, a total of 14 transport facilities, and the largest snow park in Central Switzerland.

We had a special surprise in store for the kids this year: a ride in the Pistenbulli. The impressive vehicles and no less impressive drivers amazed us, how much work is done night after night on the ski slopes, so that everything is perfectly prepared for us skiers the next day. Respect!

For us, the ideal way to end an active day in the snow: directly to the frutt Family Spa to relax and wind down the day. The sauna world is a pleasure for the whole family and we are always looking forward to it.

In the evening we enjoyed the Mediterranean cuisine and a large selection from the buffet and while the kids went to the cinema after dessert, we enjoyed a last glass of wine at the bar.

Something very special awaited us on Sunday: ice fishing in the Melchsee. Under expert guidance we learned how to drill the perfect hole into the thick layer of ice and hopefully make a good catch in winter as well. We went home empty-handed but full of wonderful new experiences and memories to the frutt Family Lodge, where a tasty snack was waiting for us on the sun terrace. We also needed some refreshment because in the afternoon it was time for tobogganing! At 8 km, the descent to Stöckalp is the longest toboggan run in Central Switzerland.

The fabulous winter in Melchsee-Frutt made this stay a very special one. And we are already looking forward to discovering the mountain and lake world in a whole new way in summer.
