44th Winterthur Music Festival Weeks: We are raffling two VIP family packages

With Madrugada (NOR), AnnenMayKantereit (DE) and Mighty Oaks (ITA/UK/US), three bands will return to the Winterthur Musikfestwoche in 2019, with whom the festival shares very special memories. Together with Alice Phoebe Lou (ZAF), Nothing But Thieves (UK), Emilie Zoé (CH) and countless international and local acts, they present the lovingly compiled programme.

The 44th Winterthur Musikfestwochen entice with more than 70 acts on 4 stages, 9 of 12 days are free. This is unique in Switzerland. This year's festival edition also has a varied programme for our little guests. The lower Steinberggasse and the church square will again be converted into an adventure playground and children will be offered fun and games. Whether handicrafts, painting, crafts, juggling or balancing, singing along and dancing - the children will surely return home from an eventful day with great memories!

The Musikfestwochen are one of the oldest pop-rock festivals in Europe. Every year over 50,000 music lovers from Winterthur, the whole of Switzerland and nearby foreign countries make a pilgrimage to Winterthur's Old Town.

The highlights of the children's programme:

On the family afternoons on 11 and 14 August (14 - 17 h) there will be exciting experiments with water, throwing games, circus animation and parcours, make-up and much more.

On Wednesday, 14 August at 14.15, Laurent and Max will put a smile on the faces of young and old with their sophisticated Swiss German songs. At 16.30 Marius and the Jagdkapelle take over on the Steinberggass stage and make the children sing and dance.

14.15 to 15.15: Laurent and Max (CH) - church square

Today's newbies and older hits. Laurent Aeberli and Max Kämmerling are putting these two important musical styles together to create sophisticated Swiss German songs. While the duo has already landed a small summer hit with Id Badi, they recall the catchy joys of the past with songs like Dä Ronaldo (The Rolling Stones) or Gaagälä (Lady Gaga).

16.30 to 17.30: Marius and die Jagdkapelle (CH) - Steinberggasse

Singer/song hunter Marius and his buddies sit in the woods in front of their forest hut and make beautifully strange Swiss German hunter rock. Usually. In exceptional cases, Marius & the Jagdkapelle organize big city gala events in the heart of Winterthur's old town. They will definitely live up to their reputation as "the country's craziest children's music group" (Züri Tipp). Take your singing voice and dancing shoes with you!
