Perfect family days in the Lenzerheide summer sports area!

Only a short 1.5 hour drive separates us from the Lenzerheide winter sports area, which we have appreciated for years for its snow-covered mountains and family-friendly hotels.

But what is it like up there in summer? The heat wave this year made it easy for us and we were really looking forward to the mountains. "Without hiking" was our children's condition. All right, let's see what else Lenzerheide has to offer.

Our arrival at the Valbella Resort reconciled us with the curvy journey, the fresh air and the breathtaking views of the Rothorn and Weisshorn made us feel like adventure. Without hiking, of course.

Water sports fun on the Heidsee!

After a fantastic breakfast buffet we went to the Heidsee, where our instructor was already waiting for us with SUP's ready to start. Not as wobbly as feared, we paddled across the beautiful mountain lake after some balance exercises. Our arms got sore after some time and we changed to pedalos and water tandems after a break. So you can spend a hot day wonderfully. Strengthened after a lunch break nothing brought us away from the water and the boys let the afternoon end on the cool bathing side of the Heidsee.

Action was announced on the second day, the boys were allowed to spend a training day in the foal football school of the Borussia Mönchengladbach. The kids learned a lot of tricks under the instruction of three professional trainers and spent a wonderful morning on the artificial turf in the centre of Lenzerheide.

This amount of endurance should be rewarded with a jump into the cool waters of the Heidsee and the subsequent enjoyment of a regional special the Heidsee-Burger. Strengthened and refreshed we set out to explore the brand new pump track in the heart of Lenzerheide. Wow! Here we really got going and big and small friends of the fast bikes showed their skills on bikes, BMX, scooters and skateboards. Just the right thing for sporty movement fans.

And as always, when you're having fun, time just flies way too fast. Should we come to Lenzerheide again, except for skiing, did we ask the boys? Absolutely!
