Be a role model, also in regard to nutrition! A guest commentary.

Baby nutrition between the first and second year of life

At the latest after the first year with your baby, you know how incredibly fast the development of the baby progresses. Not only do they grow rapidly, but they also learn an incredible amount in a very short time. With their first birthday, you even go one step further, literally. Most babies learn to walk, speak their first words and now explore their surroundings with all their senses. During this time, your baby's nutrition plays a major role. Not only the body but also the brain of your baby needs a lot of nutrients, vitamins and energy. A varied and balanced diet is now especially important for your baby.

Being a role model, also when it comes to nutrition

Your eating habits during pregnancy (and if you have breastfed, even while breastfeeding) are formative for your baby. But there is something you should definitely consider as well: Your own eating habits afterwards. Babies and children not only look at us with their wide, cute big eyes, they are also interested in everything you do. Also what concerns your eating habits. That's why you should not only offer a fresh, healthy and vitamin-rich diet to your baby, but also to yourself and your whole family.

Prepare a fresh porridge at home? No problem at all!

The start of the supplementary feeding is a big milestone and most mothers and fathers celebrate the first spoonful of porridge or the first FOAG bites in a very special way. Then comes the phase when your baby becomes more active, learns to walk, wants to explore everything, you're outdoors a lot and on the road with your baby or maybe there is even a sibling on the way? In that case, it will be hard to keep up with fresh cooking and all the good intentions of a healthy diet. A good option is to cook porridge in large quantities and then freeze it. You can then carefully reheat them at home as needed. Or you can make small smoothies from fresh fruit and vegetables for you and your baby (please pay attention to the ingredients here, some fruit and vegetables are difficult to digest and not yet suitable for your baby).

Fresh and tasty porridge for on the go? Very easy

If you want a fresh and healthy mash for on the go, you can also choose from yamo's many fruity or vegetable purees. You can take them with you for up to 6 hours unchilled for all your adventures. Yamo's cold-pressed organic mashes are available in practical cups and in 10 different varieties. You can find real little gourmet varieties here, which also taste very delicious for older children. For example Beetney Spears: with lentils, pear and beetroot. This porridge not only sounds really healthy but also tastes fresh and is cold-pressed to preserve vitamins. Just like the Quetschies from yamo. They have also been gently cold-pressed and the natural colours and heat-labile vitamins such as vitamin C are also preserved in the production of the crêpes. They are also 100% organic. Of course, they taste as good as homemade and are delivered chilled directly to your door. Katy Berry, Inbanana Jones and Avocado di Caprio! They all contain either delicious fruits or vegetables or even both together...

Is your mouth watering yet? Then take a look around at yamo!
