A small contribution

For us Stadtlandkinder it is very important that we can contribute something to important issues of our society. For this reason, we have raised a wonderful contribution in November with our White and Black Edit thanks to you and your orders at stadtlandkind.ch, of which we are now happy to pass on a part.

We are very happy that we could hand over CHF 2000.- each to the foundation "Stiftung Kinderhilfe Sternschnuppe" as well as to Save the Children.

With our support for the foundation Kinderhilfe Sternschnuppe, we give the affected children in these challenging times an unforgettable birthday experience. A delicious cake, a "Sternschnuppe" or shooting star surprise package and entertainment such as a magician, a carriage ride or a soap bubble artist to ensure a magical birthday in a family setting and many beaming faces.

Save the Children uses the contribution for retreats where girls are supported in coming to terms with their traumatic experiences.

Children with disabilities

Since 1993, the Swiss foundation Kinderhilfe Sternschnuppe has been a non-profit organization that brings joy and variety to the lives of children and young people living with an illness or disability. Some children do not always have it as easy as we do. That's why we want to give them some attention and make them shine.

The foundation puts the Sternschnuppe child and its family in the centre. They treat the child and the family with positive attention and respect and the well-being and the heart's desire of the child always comes first. With creativity and generosity, the foundation does everything in its power to make even the seemingly impossible possible.

Girls on the run

Some girls have to overcome more than others - domestic violence, poverty, denied access to education, and oppression are a part of everyday life for too many girls around the world. For some of them, flight seems the only way to a better, more self-determined life.

The children's rights organization Save the Children offers protection to girls on the run worldwide and supports them in coming to terms with their traumatic experiences. For example, by providing safe retreats, some of which are exclusively for girls. Thanks to such spaces, they can come to terms with what they have experienced and receive psychosocial support. For a moment, they can be children again. This is also the case in Switzerland - where child- and youth-friendly spaces also cater to the special needs of girls.
