New pop‑up store "St.Galler Haus" as a showcase for regional and creative products

From 25 November 2021 to 23 December 2021, there will be a new pop-up store at Spisergasse 12 in St. Gallen. The creative concept is intended to enrich the city centre during Advent, inspire visitors and be a showcase for regional products. We will be there - and lots of great toys from Stadtlandkind.

After the successful launch of the "Sankt" campaign last summer, the next measures to revitalise and publicise the city centre are being implemented in St. Gallen. For the pop-up store "St.Galler Haus" (www.stgallerhaus.ch), the committee is bringing the association "Made in St Gallen", as well as the art platform "supportyourlocalartist.ch" on board. In the "St.Galler Haus", around 15 members of the association "Made in St Gallen" present and sell various products made in the canton of St Gallen - from food to wooden furniture to textiles and clothes. The producers themselves are often on site and present their products in person. As a family business from St.Gallen, we are also allowed to take part and would like to present our favourite toys to you. In addition to the "Made in St Gallen" members, over 30 artists will also present their works in the pop-up store. The house is to be used to make the population aware of the many talents as well as unique pieces far away from the general, commercialised products.

For young and old

On the top floor, the "St.Galler Haus" offers professionally supervised children's afternoons on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. In addition to many toys such as Stapelsteins, dolls or Banwood bicycles, you will also find a pinball machine and a photo box so that you can remember the afternoon forever. With a bit of luck, you'll win one of our prizes in the painting competition, and our big Miffy will also be making another trip to the St. Galler Haus shop window. At the end of the pop-up store, we will donate all the toys to the Tempelacker residential group.

On the top floor, the "St.Galler Haus" offers professionally supervised craft afternoons for children between the ages of 3 and 10 every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in cooperation with the Child and Family Specialist Office. The number of places per afternoon is limited to 12 children. Participation costs CHF 10 per child. Due to Covid 19 protection measures, the offer lasts two hours each time. Registration is not necessary. The principle of "first come, first served" applies to participation. We are delighted when the products of Stadtlandkind bring a smile to the faces of young and old alike.

From Thursday, 25 November 2021, the "St.Galler Haus" will always be open Wednesday to Friday from 9.30 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturdays from 9.30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on the open Sundays (12 and 19 December 2021) from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. In the "St.Galler Haus", the generally applicable Covid 19 protection measures for the retail trade apply (esp. mandatory wearing of masks and hygiene measures).
