"What you have to learn in order to do, you learn by doing." According to this credo, the first MATADOR wooden building sets were created in a small workshop in Vienna over 115 years ago. Even then, like today, the concept was based on precisely pre-drilled wooden blocks, connecting rods and wheels that can be assembled and disassembled into a wide variety of figures, machines and vehicles.

Building on this ingenious idea, MATADOR wooden construction sets are still produced in Austria from domestic hardwood from sustainably managed forests.
