A region is in upheaval: retail space is dwindling, offices are empty. Production is in upheaval: digitalisation and automation allow decentralised production and shorter, closed production chains in smaller areas, closer to the consumer. Artisanalisation, on the other hand, makes production part of the product experience and places it at the centre of value creation. The "Made in St. Gallen Initiative" is a platform that unites "urban productivists" of all kinds, from fashion and furniture makers, soap boilers and food kings to high-tech companies and industrial enterprises, under a label that can be worn with pride. For products manufactured in the canton of St.Gallen, we create an official designation of origin with "Made in St. Gallen".
