TAUTA candleholders are made from iraca, the sturdy fibers of a tropical palm tree. They were created in collaboration with designer Willian Farias. They are woven within 8 days by the renowned organization las Juanitas.

TAUTA is overjoyed and very proud that through the products every month work and thus a regular income for 250 craftsmen and their families can be secured.

The Colombian label TAUTA by founder Maria Lorez is a real treasure trove of unique handmade artworks for every home. Ethnic accessories and tablewear produced under fair conditions and through traditional craftsmanship. Born in the highlands of Colombia, Maria Lorez spent her early years in Pereira and later moved to Switzerland. Through the different cultural influences of her two home countries and her love of travelling, her fascination for traditional handicrafts developed. She combines the time-honoured with contemporary design, giving it a new lease of life.
