By designing a trail-ready wheel, we're helping kids develop MTB skills earlier and easier, while helping families get out on the trail together.
The Dirt Hero is suitable for 12- and 14-inch wheels, but can also be set up as a mullet bike. In our research, we've often seen kids go straight from a 12-inch balance bike to a 16-inch pedal bike. Such a big step can not only hinder their development, but also affect their enjoyment of riding. Allowing them to gently transition from a 12-inch bike to a 14-inch bike (and then adding brakes) before they have to take on a much heavier pedal bike ensures that children progress step by step and maintain the fun of riding.
For parents, it's a big advantage that they don't have to buy a separate 14" wheel, but can simply upgrade their running bike to continue having fun.
Noteworthy are the seat tube angle (which allows the bike to grow with the child) and the dropout design, which increases the wheelbase along with the wheel size.
