MATONA

MATONA is a small, family-run label for children and adults. The brains behind it are Katharina & David. The photographer and the fashion designer met in Munich, where they lived for a long time. After the birth of their first son in 2016, the family moved back to their homeland in Austria where they founded Matona and have been living and working there ever since.
It all started with Katharina sewing her son's clothes herself. Soon it became something bigger and after the first orders from shops to sew over 100 pieces, the production finally moved to Portugal. Since then, small GOTS-certified factories have been producing all the collections, which are available in selected shops worldwide.
