Fabelab

As an architect and mother of two girls the Fablelab designer is inspired equally by her children and her work to develop creative products for cuddling, playing and for everyday life. She wants to tell stories and make products that leave room for imagination and the freedom to let their own stories develop around them, says Michaela Weisskirchner – Barfod, Fabelab’s founder and designer who lives with her husband and two daughters in Copenhagen. Through her background in architecture and scenography, previous work experience with international architects and the Copenhagen Royal Theater, Michaela combines spatial principles and storytelling within functional and inspiring products.
