AILOS TRAVELIt was three years ago when director Guillaume Maidatchevsky's four- and six-year-old daughters asked him why he hadn't made a movie about Santa's reindeer yet. And they also wanted to know how the reindeer actually fly... And so the basic idea for "Ailo's Journey" was born! Over a period of two years, the director followed one of the last reindeer herds in Lapland to capture spectacular images. The result is a story that could not be told more beautifully. From Ailo's birth in the wild and majestic nature until he is grown up and on his own, every day is a great adventure for the little one on his journey. He encounters arctic foxes, lemmings, eagles, wolves, squirrels and stoats - never sure whether they are enemies or friends. But Ailo bravely fights his way through! Ailo's journey is a heart-warming story for the whole family. Comedy star Anke Engelke guides the viewer through the story with mischief.
