I don't know about you, but the older I get, the more impatiently I wait for the start of spring. As far as I'm concerned, it can start after New Year's Eve - I've had enough of electrically charged cap hair and gloves left on the streetcar. (Which no good soul would hand in to the lost and found office - may the hands of the greedy finder at least fall off. Yes, it was an expensive pair, yes, the anger over the loss is great). Well, it doesn't help, we still have a few weeks of sub-zero temperatures and rainy weather ahead of us - let's pass the time waiting for spring and summer by taking a look at the new collections that are slowly arriving at Stadtlandkind. Here are my personal highlights.
Bellerose is back!

The label is available again at Stadtandkind for children and teenagers (up to the age of 18, so for once mom can help herself to her teenage daughter's closet and not the other way around). Ethically responsible manufacturing processes and sustainability are very important to the premium brand. The Belgians are also masters of adorable details: prints, buttons in all shapes and colors and cute embroidery characterize their unmistakable style. I particularly like the star blouses and pants, which are playful but never kitschy. There are also sporty unisex outfits in retro style. The little ones will definitely win the style Olympics in these.
Buho Barcelona
What was your favorite piece of clothing as a child? Do you remember it? That one item that you couldn't get off your body and that only found its way to the washing machine with all kinds of parental tricks? And then at some point it was all washed out but still loved dearly because you felt particularly strong and unique in it? It remains to be seen whether this was the childish version of power dressing. In any case, the head designer at Buho Barcelona was inspired by this memory of her first favorite outfit. And I melt away at the playful ruffles - until then I hadn't realized how casual they could be. The collection reminds me of summer vacations in the south of France, but will certainly also look good in the Zurich summer. Or wherever you are at home. The great pieces are made in Spain, Portugal and France. And yes, they are also available in adult sizes.
I dig denim
"Few things stay with you as long as a good pair of jeans" - I could have come up with that saying. However, it was said by the designer of the label I dig denim, which is celebrating its premiere at Stadtlandkind. We cheer, because we love jeans. Who doesn't? The label from Gothenburg is known for designing future favorite jeans. The wonder pants are now even sold at Barneys in New York. They are a sustainable investment: the pieces have what it takes to become classics, as they are so durable that they can easily be passed on to siblings. There are also shirts with no frills and cool dresses that are absolutely suitable for the playground.
Les Coyotes de Paris
A weekend trip to the city of love helps combat the winter blues. This reminds me of one of my favorite brands, Les Coyotes de Paris, which is actually at home in Amsterdam, which is no less worth a visit. Designer Marieke Meulendijks, however, knows a thing or two about Parisian chic, including that certain "Je ne sais quoi". However, she knows exactly what she is talking about when it comes to tailoring and fabric quality, which is what makes the pieces in the current collection so unmistakable. This label should definitely be on your fashion radar.

Piupiuchick
Adventurous girls and boys surf the perfect wave with Portuguese label Piupiuchick. The collection is inspired by life on the Atlantic, by the colors of the fishermen's clothes, the sky, the beach and the sea. A small team has been designing these easy-to-wear pieces for almost seven years, which are designed to have one thing above all else: lots of fun!
Salt Water Sandals
Last but not least are my absolute summer favorites - pretty, waterproof and indestructible, the Salt Water Sandals. My daughter waded through all the streams in them one summer, putting the backs of her feet under full braking on her balance bike - the shoes are still as good as new. That's never happened before, the previous ones wore out in August. This year I'm also going to get myself some "Saltys". Preferably in yellow or gold or maybe both. I'm not saying this lightly, but if there's only one pair of shoes for the summer, it's this one!
