Following the successful launch of the "Sankt" campaign last summer, the next measures are being implemented in St. Gallen to revitalize and raise awareness of the city centre. For the pop-up store "St.Galler Haus" (www.stgallerhaus.ch), the committee has brought in the association "Made in St Gallen", as well as the art platform "supportyourlocalartist.ch" are also on board. In the "St.Galler Haus", around 15 members of the "Made in St Gallen" association present and sell various products made in the canton of St.Gallen - from food and wooden furniture to textiles and clothing. The producers are often on site themselves and present their products in person. As a family business from St. Gallen, we are also taking part and would like to introduce you to our favorite toys. In addition to the "Made in St Gallen" members, over 30 artists will also be presenting their work in the pop-up store. The store will be used to draw the public's attention to the many talents and unique pieces far removed from the general, commercialized products.
For young and old
On the top floor, the "St.Galler Haus" offers professionally supervised children's afternoons on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. In addition to lots of toys such as stacking blocks, dolls and Banwood bicycles, you will also find a pinball machine and a photo box so that you can remember the afternoon forever. With a bit of luck, you'll win one of our prizes in the coloring competition and our big Miffy will also go on another trip to the window of the St. Gallen Haus. At the end of the pop-up store, we will donate all the toys to the Tempelacker residential group.
On the top floor, the "St.Galler Haus", in collaboration with the Child and Family Center offers professionally supervised craft afternoons for children between the ages of 3 and 10 on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 2 pm to 4 pm. The number of places per afternoon is limited to 12 children. Participation costs CHF 10 per child. Due to the Covid-19 protective measures, the offer lasts two hours. Registration is not necessary. Participation is on a first come, first served basis. We look forward to seeing the Stadtlandkind products bring a smile to the faces of young and old alike.
