With the launch of our less waste strategy launched at the end of 2020, we are pursuing the goal of burdening our environment as little as possible with additional packaging material. The reusable Kickbag is already making a significant contribution to enabling us to take a step in the right direction. However, as we cannot use the Kickbag for all orders, we continue to use cardboard packaging.
Fortunately, 90% of the paper and cardboard produced in Switzerland is made from recycled paper. Recycling and waste separation have become a habit for many and we should definitely continue to do so.
But before our cardboard ends up in recycling, it can be reused in many different ways. There is no limit to the creative freedom.
Creative minds
The children's creative magazine KILUDO thought of exactly that - they were inspired by the Stadtlandkind packaging and reused the cardboard. And this is how they did it:
1. cut out the face parts from the cardboard. You can also cut out different face parts from magazines and newspapers and glue them onto cardboard.
2. attach the pieces to wooden kebab or barbecue skewers with adhesive tape.
3. play in front of the mirror, take photos of yourselves and send the photos to your loved ones
All you need is the following materials: cardboard with faces, wooden skewers and adhesive tape. Very simple and super quick to make.
The KILUDO creative magazine has lots more creative ideas for children to design, play and learn. If you're looking for more ideas for arts and crafts, you'll find lots more suggestions in KILUDO's digital magazine.
Competition
And because we also want you to get creative and reuse cardboard, we are giving away the following with our partner KILUDO creative magazine 3x a annual subscription and the Brush robot technology craft box and 1x voucher from Stadtlandkind worth CHF 200.
How can you take part? Simply fill out the form below and tell us what other ideas you have for using cardboard. The closing date for entries is February 28, 2021 - good luck!
