Sometimes a small work of art contains a very big message. For the 50th anniversary of the Swiss Pediatric Oncology Group (SPOG), children and adolescents from all over Switzerland presented Spogli, the official mascot and symbol of hope for the SPOG, with their drawings and wishes. A very special anniversary shirt was created from a selection of these lovingly designed works of art. We at Stadtlandkind are happy to support this heartfelt project as a partner.
When children's wishes give hope
More than 80 drawings and wishes reached the SPOG as part of the participatory campaign. They tell stories of birthday cakes, games, adventures, and little moments of happiness. But among all the colorful ideas, there is always one wish that is particularly touching: that all children may become healthy and that cancer will one day lose its terror.
These wishes come from children and adolescents who are themselves affected by cancer, as well as from their siblings. They remind us how valuable a carefree childhood is and that it is not something to be taken for granted for many families.
Through its work, the SPOG is committed to improving the treatment and recovery prospects of young patients and enabling them to have a healthy future.
An anniversary shirt that makes a difference
A unique work of art was created from selected drawings, which now adorns the SPOG anniversary shirt. Every detail tells a little story, every drawn wish carries a great hope within it.
The special thing about it: with every shirt sold, pediatric cancer research at the SPOG is supported. In this way, the children's creative works become not only a colorful piece of clothing, but also a sign of solidarity and confidence.
