Stadtlandkind is also committed to climate protection and our planet in 2021. We are delighted to have received the new certificate from ClimatePartner for "Partner in climate protection" for the year 2021. In 2020, we were able to reduce our carbon footprint from 19,152.3 kg CO2e to 9,114.38 kg CO2eby, for example, taking fewer business trips and using less packaging material. For the new year, we have once again opted for the climate protection project "Marine protection, Plastic Bank, Worldwide" project.

With various measures to reduce emissions and protect the climate, the Stadtlandkind team has once again set its sights high for 2021. Since January 1, 2020, all parcels to and from customers have been sent by post. climate-neutral since January 1, 2020, climate neutrality was also achieved for the entire company and the website on March 10, 2020. We want to continue our contribution to climate protection in the coming year.

When is a company and website "climate neutral"?
A company is climate-neutral when all emissions from our direct business activities are accounted for and offset by recognized climate protection projects.
ClimatePartner has worked with us to determine the relevant CO2-emission sources of our company and evaluated them. The analysis and annual update of our balance sheet enables us to implement and monitor measures to reduce CO2 can further avoid and reduce.

What are the criteria for climate protection projects?
In addition to saving emissions, all climate protection projects must meet four basic criteria: Additionality, exclusion of double counting, permanence and verification by independent third parties.
In order to prove compliance with the criteria, the projects are certified and audited according to strict criteria, for example the Gold Standard or the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS).
