Experience winter together - unforgettable family moments!
We spent one of our best winter weekends in Melchsee-Frutt this year. Of course, the weather was perfect, which is why we arrived at the frutt Family Lodge with a great deal of anticipation. Arriving on Friday evening has a very special advantage: pizza fun at frutt Lago! Mmmmh.
Saturday morning greeted us with a cloudless, steel-blue sky and we quickly agreed that it was the perfect day to explore the slopes. The beauty of the ski area in Melchsee-Frutt is clearly that it has something for everyone. 32 km of blue, red and black pistes, a total of 14 transportation facilities and the largest snow park in Central Switzerland.
We had a special surprise in store for the kids this year: a ride in a snowcat. The impressive vehicles and no less impressive drivers left us in awe of the work that is done night after night on the ski slopes so that everything is perfectly prepared for us skiers the next day. Respect!
For us, the ideal end to an active day in the snow is always to head straight to the frutt Family Spa to relax and round off the day. The sauna world is a treat for the whole family and we always look forward to it.
In the evening we enjoyed the Mediterranean cuisine and a large selection at the buffet and while the kids went to the in-house movie theater after dessert, we enjoyed a last glass of wine at the bar.
Something very special awaited us on Sunday: ice fishing in Lake Melchsee. Under expert guidance and instruction, we learned how to drill the perfect hole in the thick layer of ice and hopefully make a good catch in winter too. We went back to the frutt Family Lodge empty-handed but full of wonderful new experiences and memories, where a delicious snack was already waiting for us on the sun terrace. We also needed the refreshment, because sledging was on the agenda for the afternoon! At 8 km, the descent to Stöckalp is the longest toboggan run in Central Switzerland.
The magical winter in Melchsee-Frutt made this stay a very special one. And we are already looking forward to discovering a whole new magical world of mountains and lakes in the summer.
