Gentle care for sensitive children’s skin

Children’s skin is up to 30 % thinner than that of adults and its protective barrier is not fully developed. It therefore loses moisture more quickly and is more sensitive to cold, heat and pollutants. Use mild products without fragrances or aggressive ingredients and ensure regular moisturising. A loving care routine strengthens your child’s well‑being.

Natural ingredients and sustainability

Many conventional skincare products contain microplastics, mineral oils and harsh surfactants. Children don’t need daily baths – two to three times per week is enough to cleanse the skin gently. Use lukewarm water and pH‑neutral, replenishing washing lotions. After bathing, always apply a moisturising cream. Ingredients such as urea, panthenol or natural oils (e.g. almond oil) help strengthen the skin barrier and retain moisture. Children’s skin is particularly sensitive to UV rays and cold. Use sun protection with mineral filters all year round and protect the face additionally with a sun hat and sunglasses. In winter a rich cold cream helps. Breathable cotton clothing prevents irritation and keeping humidity at 40–60 % in the children’s room ensures the skin doesn’t dry out.

Minimalism and gift ideas

Less is more: children’s skin doesn’t need ten different products. A gentle cleanser, a good moisturiser and, if needed, a nourishing oil are quite sufficient.
