The people behind the label are Andrea Essl and Anja Rieger from Bern. The origins of the Essl & Rieger collection lie in the Georg rucksack, which Andrea's father launched in Austria 50 years ago. Since then, this rucksack has been an ideal companion in the mountains, on the playground or on the way to work. The design of Essl & Rieger backpacks and bags embodies timelessness, functionality and aesthetics. The use of high-quality cotton canvas and leather from Europe and traditional production in a family business in the Czech Republic give each product an individual character.
