As an architect and mother of two girls, the designer of Fabelab is equally inspired by her work and her children to develop creative products for cuddling, playing and everyday use. "I want to tell stories and design products that give room for imagination and the freedom to create their own story around them," says Michaela Weisskirchner - Barfod founder and designer of Fabelab, who lives in Copenhagen with her husband and two daughters. With her background in architecture and scenography, her previous professional experience with international architects and Copenhagen's Royal Theatre, Michaela combines spatial principles and storytelling in functional and inspiring products.
