The incredibly soft rugs made of cotton and wool are machine washable. Lorena Canals rugs undergo an elaborate, handmade manufacturing process based on the selection of the best raw materials, the use of natural dyes in the production process and compliance with quality and safety regulations.

Lorena Canals - the inventor of the washable rug

Lorena Canals founded her brand in Barcelona in 1998 when she couldn't find anything suitable to clean her children's favorite rug easily. In a moving interview with Spanish television, she explains how this idea gave rise to the first washable rug - today, Lorena Canals is a globally recognized name for aesthetic and sustainable living.

The range extends from child-friendly, washable rugs to cushions, poufs, baskets and play rugs. Each piece is handmade, made from 100% natural cotton or wool and treated with non-toxic dyes.
