For the production of Affenzahn backpacks, the innovators behind the label use fabrics made from 50% recycled PET bottles. Six bottles (0.5 l) are used for a large rucksack and three bottles (0.5 l) for a small one. Compared to conventional production methods, this reduces the amount of waste water by 20%, energy consumption by 50% and pollutant emissions by as much as 60%. The sustainable and super cute backpacks from Affenzahn are bluesign® certified. This means that the children's backpacks are consistently produced in a pollutant-free and environmentally friendly way.
