Grapat

Grapat - free play in vibrant colors

Grapat was founded by Casiana and Jordi Monczar, who transferred their creative streak from the city to a life in the Catalan countryside. Since 2015, they have been designing handmade wooden toys in their family business - inspired by Waldorf education and the desire to offer children unstructured play materials.

Open play worlds encourage creativity
Grapat focuses on natural diversity: colorful wooden figures, mandala elements, nins, bread, balls, bowls and cubes come from sustainable EU forests. They are finished with natural, hand-painted colors, the wood structure remains visible - every irregularity makes the toy unique. The shapes are deliberately reduced and without instructions - creating space for your own stories, mathematical discoveries and fine motor skills practice. In the spirit of "be free, play open".

Why Grapat is part of Stadtlandkind
At Stadtlandkind, we focus on sustainable, durable and meaningful play companions - Grapat also shares this claim. With regionally produced, plastic-free and FSC-certified play materials, they offer timeless design that combines both traditional values and modern needs. Grapat impresses with its quality, variety and depth of play - characteristics that perfectly match our range.

Learning spaces full of imagination in daycare & school
Grapat materials are particularly valuable in educational environments such as daycare centers, Montessori and Waldorf rooms. They encourage free play, support language development, mathematical thinking and social interaction. Mandala stones and wooden figures form creative learning landscapes in which children can act and experience in a self-determined way.
