MATONA is a small, family-run label for children and adults. The faces behind it are Katharina & David. The photographer and the fashion designer met in Munich, where they lived for a long time. After the birth of their first son in 2016, the family moved back home to Austria, where they founded Matona and have lived and worked ever since. It all started with Katharina sewing her son's clothes herself. It quickly grew into something bigger and after the first orders from stores, with over 100 pieces to sew, production finally moved to Portugal. Since then, all collections have been produced in small, GOTS-certified factories and are available in selected stores worldwide.
