Trauffer Cow Special Freiburg Wooden Animal

The Trauffer Cow Special Freiburg Wooden Animal evokes quiet morning hours high up on the alp, when the fog still lies over the meadows like strands of cotton and the world is slowly waking up. Her black-and-white coat and the soft jingle of her bells create an atmosphere that immediately immerses children in gentle stories. Perhaps she’s wandering along mossy paths, following a little shepherdess to a stream, or taking part in a celebration in the barn where flower wreaths are being woven. Trauffer has created more than just a toy with this figure: she becomes a companion on journeys through imaginary landscapes where children explore responsibility, care, and friendship. She can rest in a pasture, tend to a young calf, or become a wise advisor to other wooden animal figures. Educators love to use her quiet charm to open up worlds of storytelling—perhaps a fairy tale about mountain magic or an afternoon adventure in which children discover new paths. Her body, crafted from Swiss wood, feels warm in the hand and invites children to pick her up again and again and incorporate her into new scenes. The Trauffer Cow Special from Freiburger Holztier creates space for stories in which the mountain world, family, and imagination are interwoven.
