The mattress is a two-part OEKO-TEX®-certified special mattress with rounded corners, which fits perfectly with the Sebra Bed, Baby & Jr. fits both the baby and junior stages. It has been thoroughly tested and meets the safety requirements of the European standard EN 16890:2017. The cover is FKTV certified and has been extensively tested to ensure it is free from harmful chemicals and allergenic substances. The FKTV certification is a seal of quality that gives you the assurance that the mattress is both healthy and safe for your baby. The cover is soft and made of quick-drying polyester and TENCEL™. TENCEL™ is a natural fiber that can absorb the moisture that naturally forms when your child sleeps. The combination of these two materials ensures a comfortable sleeping environment with an optimal lying temperature. There is a wedge of particularly breathable ventilation material along the sides of the cover, which ensures optimum air circulation. A safety zipper is also included so that your child cannot accidentally open the cover. You can easily open the cover using a paper clip if it needs to be washed at 60 degrees. The mattress core is made of high-quality Flake foam and Orbis foam. This foam is LGA-certified and has undergone extensive testing, particularly with regard to health and ecological safety. The aim of the LGA test is to guarantee you a mattress that is safe for your child's health. The two types of cold foam offer excellent lying comfort for your child and retain their shape so that the mattress does not sag. You therefore receive a 5-year guarantee on the Signature mattress. The undulating underside of the mattress ensures that moisture is wicked away and the mattress always remains well air-conditioned. Some of the mattress material comes from leftover stock from previous productions. This means that there is no material waste and the mattress core can look different from mattress to mattress. If you order the Signature mattress, you will receive two mattresses. The larger mattress is used in the first phase when your child is a newborn and until it needs a longer bed. You use the additional piece when you extend the Sebra bed to the junior size and need to extend the mattress. So you don't need to buy additional parts as your child grows. Note: Always change the mattress if your child sleeps in an inherited bed. A used mattress is not hygienic and studies show that a used mattress can lead to allergies and skin problems.
