Olla Irrigation System

For anyone who regularly forgets to water their plants or is away for a few days, the olla offers a simple solution: The container is buried in the soil and filled with water, which then slowly seeps through the porous walls to the roots. The plant draws what it needs, so the soil remains evenly moist. One pot is enough for a single houseplant; in the summer, it can also be used in a balcony planter. Because the water is released through the material itself, the Olla requires no electricity, technology, or readjustment—simply refill it.
