The headband covers the ears and forehead while leaving the top of the head exposed, allowing excess heat to escape. This is handy for cross-country skiing, jogging, or hiking on uphill trails, where a beanie can quickly get too warm. You can easily wear it with a ponytail or a bun. Thanks to the lining, there’s a double layer of merino wool against the forehead. Because it takes up very little space, the headband fits in any jacket pocket and is quickly at hand when it gets cooler on the way home.
