Baba Tree

Ghana

The Baba Tree Basket Company is known for the best bolga baskets of their kind. What we particularly like: Baba Tree strives for a new model of ethical production of African craftsmanship that sees us all as partners in an ongoing global transformation. The beautiful baskets are hand-woven in Ghana by artisans from the Baba Tree Basket Co. The weavers are paid fairly for their work and receive an additional commission for each basket sold. Baba Tree baskets are not only decorative and functional, very durable and robust, they also complement our living areas and bring a piece of Africa into our homes.

The Baba Tree - Artful baskets with soul from Ghana

The colorful baskets from The Baba Tree Basket Company are made in Bolgatanga, in the north of Ghana. Each piece is unique, crafted by artisans whose knowledge and techniques have been passed down through generations. The brand was founded to preserve this traditional craft and ensure a fair income for the families involved. The baskets are woven by hand from local elephant grass with great patience, care and dedication - living works of art that combine functionality and culture.

Woven art for at home and on the go
Whether it's a storage basket for the children's room, a stylish shopper or a hand-woven picnic basket: Baba Tree products bring color, texture and joie de vivre to everyday life. The Bolga baskets with their striking shapes and artfully curved handles are particularly popular. They are sturdy, durable and made from natural materials - ideal for families who want to combine sustainability and aesthetics.
