Wooby - the link between craftsmanship and boundless imagination Wooby combines the expertise of Holzkopf Furniture with the warmth of the Wydehöfli dormitory to create something unique. Holzkopf Furniture is known for customized wooden furniture, made with simple elegance and craftsmanship. The Wydehöfli residential home offers people with disabilities not only a home, but also a place of work and community. Each Wooby is made by hand in Arlesheim, Baselland, Switzerland. Production is inclusive, which means that each piece is a unique masterpiece created with attention to detail and a quest for perfection. More than just a toy, Wooby also stands for a social initiative that enables the residents of the Wydehöfli residential home to participate in a meaningful way and develop their individual skills. In 2024, Wooby received the Socialstore Award in the Children & Games category for its Wooby Boards. This award recognizes innovative, creative and sustainable products made by employees with disabilities in integration companies and focuses on their work and skills.

Wooby - game board with heart, craftsmanship and attitude
Wooby is manufactured in Arlesheim, Switzerland - in close collaboration with the local Holzkopf joinery and the Wydehöfli residential home. The integrative project combines craftsmanship with social commitment: people with support needs work together to design a well thought-out balance board that not only promotes movement, but also touches people. The result is a product that combines purpose, quality and community - and was awarded the Socialstore Award in 2024.
Balance, build, move - play without instructions
Wooby is more than just a balance board: it becomes a bridge, stage, seesaw or island of retreat. Children use it intuitively and creatively - for motor challenges as well as for imaginative role play. Made from FSC-certified birch wood, each board is robust, waterproof and durable. Whether indoors or outdoors, in everyday life or at play - Wooby accompanies children through many stages of development. It is particularly versatile in combination with the stacking blocks: All Wooby products can be used in addition to the stacking blocks, opening up even more scope for movement, balance and free discovery.
