Peace (North-South)

Peace begins with small, everyday gestures: a “hello,” a smile, a hug. Even saying someone’s name just right can bring peace. It can be that simple to build closeness and show understanding. Peace requires courage and, at the same time, provides a sense of security. Thanks to peace, even the youngest among us have a voice. Peace starts small, but it can make a big difference.

Miranda and Baptiste Paul have written their first picture book together for NordSüd, titled *Peace*. The story is close to their hearts: a hymn to peace, filled with warmth, hope, and humanity. Estelí Meza created the illustrations in the warm colors of Mexico, inspired by the positive messages of the text; they were created during the lockdown in Mexico City. *Peace* marks her debut in the U.S. and Europe.
