What is Bananatex®?

Bananatex® is derived from the abaca plant, a wild banana species native to the Philippines. It grows in a natural permaculture system—alongside cacao and teak trees—without artificial irrigation or pesticides. The plant thus actively contributes to biodiversity and the reforestation of former farmland.

The natural pore structure of the abaca fiber makes the fabric breathable and moisture-regulating—exactly what you want in everyday shorts.
