HEVEA: Plastic is the past ‑ natural is now!

How everything began

More than 10 years ago, the Danish Terese Hoffeldt founded the HEVEA label in 2009, after having searched unsuccessfully for pacifiers for her baby that satisfied her demands. A pacifier made of natural rubber without dangerous softeners and toxins, with a simple, attractive design that is produced fairly - the idea was born.

HEVEA's sustainable products are made of 100% natural rubber from sustainable agriculture and are therefore biodegradable. Natural rubber is extracted from the rubber tree Hevea brasiliensis and then carefully processed. In addition, not only the excellent quality of HEVEA products, but also fair production. HEVEA pursues strict social and ethical production conditions in which people and the environment are taken care of. We also avoid the transport of goods by air as far as possible. Therefore, transport is mainly carried out by sea.

Natural rubber - one idea inspires the world!

HEVEA ensures that pacifiers and teething rings in particular, which are put directly in the mouth, become a safe object that children can use every day without any concerns. In addition to pacifiers and teething rings, HEVEA also produces other items made of 100% natural rubber and wood from the rubber tree.

Products that meet the high standards of the company's founder and that also inspire enthusiasm through environmentally friendly packaging (FSC standard - recycled paper and foil made from plant materials) and sustainable production - it is HEVEA's concept that many customers take the opportunity to buy these products made from natural materials such as natural rubber for their child.

The extraction of latex from the Hevea brasiliensis trees is an attractive cultivation for the country. HEVEA has its natural rubber products mainly produced locally in Malaysia. Rubber trees can be harvested sustainably for about 35 years. During this time they absorb about 20kg CO2 from the air. In this way HEVEA contributes to the fight against global warming.
